Old Marylebone Town Hall Wedding • London Wedding Photographer • Ryan and Vincent
As a photographer, there’s nothing more rewarding than capturing the essence of a couple's love story in a single day. Ryan and Vincent's micro wedding at Old Marylebone Town Hall was a perfect blend of intimacy, emotion, and timeless beauty.
Having shot many times at Old Marylebone Town Hall, I knew it was a perfect backdrop for Ryan and Vincent's wedding. The iconic architecture, with its grand columns and stately interiors, offered countless opportunities for stunning shots. Each corner of the town hall seemed to hold its own unique charm, perfect for capturing the couple's journey.
One of the most touching parts of the ceremony was the heartfelt readings chosen by Ryan and Vincent. As they exchanged vows and listened to their chosen passages, the emotion in the room was palpable. The readings were focused on the right to love, no matter sex or race, and how far the world has come to accept that all love is valid. I focused on capturing their expressions—the tears, the smiles, and the looks of pure love and connection. These candid moments are some of my favourite, especially since Ryan hadn’t cried in front of Vincent and these vows got him!
Photographing Ryan and Vincent's guests was a joy in itself. The blend of close friends and family created a warm, supportive atmosphere that translated beautifully through the lens. Each guest brought their own energy and love to the celebration, and I made sure to capture the interactions, the hugs, the laughter, and the tears. These photos will always remind Ryan and Vincent of the people who mean the most to them, and the people who were there supporting them.
After the ceremony, I guided Ryan and Vincent on a short walk through the quiet back streets behind Old Marylebone Town Hall. The cobblestone paths and historic buildings provided a picturesque setting for capturing their first moments as a married couple. As they walked hand in hand, the natural light was perfect and we had lots of fun making some truly magical photos. I always like to bring personalities into the photos, so the laughter and jokes stay in, and the focus was purely on their connection and how they were naturally as a couple.
The day continued after my coverage at a friend’s nearby pub, where the celebrations carried on, without any evidence!
Photographing Ryan and Vincent's micro wedding reaffirmed why these intimate celebrations are so special. And also, that micro weddings can still pack a punch! Every moment felt deeply personal and genuine, allowing me to capture not just images, but emotions, stories and the laughs!
