Eliot and Rose’s wedding day was absolutely beautiful and full of heart and love; with her Father the Priest of the Church, her Godmother conducting the ceremony, along with her brother and sister in law playing cellos during the ceremony, add in the mother of the grooms handmade waistcoats for all of the gents in the bridal party alongside side the handmade wool flowers and the fact that they celebrated their wedding in the same place her parents married - everything about the day had a personal touch.

Eliot’s morning was very relaxed and laid back, surrounded by his family and friends even when we noticed a blood stain on his brilliant white shirt, there was no panic! Rose’s was much the same, deep breathes kept the nerves to a good level, and champagne kept the spirits high, even when we thought we had lost her beloved cat out the front door (fear not, he was just avoiding the crowds in the linen cupboard!)

The Church was filled with guests and people from the local village who had watched Rose grow up, I love communities like this, there is such a beautiful underlying power to the intimacy shared between friends, neighbours and family - an “I’ve got your back” feeling. After they said their vows we gathered everyone outside with confetti ready in their hands, only to have the Heavens open! This downpour was extreme, but we were outside and everyone was ready, so we braved it and quickly chucked it up in the air then sprinted back in! Luckily there was some confetti left over for a little bridal party showering later.

And just like that, the rain stopped, we headed over to the church hall for the speeches, meal and dancing. As her parents did for their wedding, Rose and Eliot had a Ceilidh band entertain for the evening, and wow, what a night! The dancing was amazing, everyone stayed on the dance floor and it was a proper knees up, I absolutely LOVED capturing all the fun!

This was such a fun wedding for me, a real highlight of the year! Enjoy the pics!
