I’m lucky enough to have been able to shoot at Belair house a few times now, and so happy that I’ll be shooting there again soon! It’s gorgeous venue, very quirky artwork and beautiful colours, dark wood against brilliant white and a stunning spiral staircase. There’s also a Mediterranean terrace outside that’s hidden away, on a sunny day you really could be on a Greek island, it’s fab!
I started my day at the ceremony, I do love getting ready shots, but completely understand if my couple would prefer pictures of themselves fully ready, instead of half a face of makeup! I loved capturing Cleo arriving, she looked stunning, straight out of the movies. Everyone took a breath as she walked down the aisle, I always try and give a little pep talk before my brides take those nervous/excited steps; don’t sprint, and keep your flowers lower than you think (my previous Brides, you’ll know my little moto for this, future Brides – you’ll find out!) The registrars I’ve worked with each time I’ve been at Belair have been the best! They bring fun and humour to the ceremony, and really make it so enjoyable and full of life, I love them!
Everyone was in fab spirits after the ceremony, and the energy kept going with a confetti line with confetti canons – great idea! This venue is fab for couple shots too, as you don’t have to walk far to anything, the rose garden around the back is perfect, along with the Mediterranean terrace and not to forget the front of the building with its stunning checker board tiles.
More confetti was popped during the first dance along with a lot of bottles of bubbly (!) what a fabulous party and what a happy happy happy couple – absolutely loved capturing the day!
